Thought I'd start (another) thread about pilots, mechanics etc, this time with pics for easy reference. Please feel free to add to the thread but only with IMAGES attached. Perhaps mods could sticky this? Included are all the pilots, ground crew/mechanics I could find in either 1/32, 1/35 or 1/24...plus anything that could be used on an airfield / aircraft maintenance diorama or vignette.

Hi Rich,
what are you looking for are solely pictures of existing figures and diorama accessories or do you intend to start a thread with period pictures or color pictures of re-enactors wearing periods uniforms as well?.
Being friends with one of Italy's best known and most talented WW2 figures painters and collectors of WW2 figures I have seen most of the figures posted above excepting the Valiants, the Evolutions and a couple of Nemrods....the Ultracast figures are amongst the best I've seen and IIRC a few of Verlinden's oldies are very worth considering too!Eagle Edition's Maj. Preddy's another little gem,but I'm sure I've seen more....will try to find out a few pictures to help you out in your quest!
Cheers
Lou

I am not where I can post a photo, but check out Model Cellar's incredible 1/32 WWI pilot figures by Mike Good. They are beyond amazing.

This is a portion of what has been collected over the years, 54mm couple 24th(turn 60 this year damit!!)have a large box of 1/48 as well, which I should sell or give away as they'll never be used(come to think of it these prob wont either).collected Puchala mostly, incuding Flak guns etc.stopped collecting a number of years back(except a couple US ground crew from D.and M just before they closed)..just building a few planes now and then...

Have some by Finemolds and some pretty good metal ones ( and plenty not so good) by manufacturers who's names escape me at the moment.

Also Rest models do some pilots as well as the Verlinden ones. Some of these jump in scale though from 1/35 to 1/32.

Excellent idea Rich...This could form the basis for a useful adjunct to LSP Kev's kit list in the market place?:goodjob:

MDC's excellent little 1/32 Luftwaffe bomb cart would be worth adding.

well I thought it'd be worthwhile as there are frequently threads about this subject, but sans pics...you need some sort of visual reference to buy stuff I reckon....for example you can clearly see the PJ Productions stuff is superior to a lot of the other stuff.....

Ah, Puchala - not heard that name in a while... :coolio:

I much prefer resin figures though, never really liked the cast metal ones.

Keep them pics coming!
