This is the Hasegawa F-5 I built for Russ's GB
Its OOB apart from the decals which are from Two Bobs
The original build thread is here: http://forum.largesc...showtopic=29748
Anyone who hasn't seen this before and is wondering about the pilots gesture then see post #6 onwards.

This one's for you Russ, built with humour and speed! (well fast for me anyway!)

Lovely job Phil. :D

The cammo looks superb and the decals went on a treat.
Regardless of how quickly you slapped this one together it still turned out beautifully. :innocent:

Congrats :frantic:

Great job. I've always loved the lines of the F-5 Tiger.

Is the tail decal or painted?

Cheers, Dave

Besides the A-4 Skyhawk the F-5E is my favorite jet plane, and I must say that Your build is perfect in any way....
Man I love agressor paint schemes !!!

Dejan

P,S, What colours You used ???
Baldrick: Don't worry, my Lord, I followed DaVinci's instructions to the letter.
Blackadder: Even if you can't actually read.
Baldrick: That's right, but I have done a lot of Airfix models in my time

Stunning! Such a sleek aircraft, and I love the markings...

Russ would be proud!

Thanks, Mark, Karl and Jeff.

Dave,
The tail is painted white and then the "sunset" is a decal.
Bit fiddly needing a bit of trimming and getting them to line up on the front of the fin.
The Kit decal is a complete fin including the white portion.
I used the Two Bobs decal in preference as the kit white was a creamy/yellow white which didn't look right.

Dejan,
I don't use the paints that the kit shows so I have to convert them.
Luckily, the Two Bobs decal sheet had the paints in Humbrol, MM and a couple of others.
Can't remeber the exact colours but the mid grey is light ghost gray and the darker one is also pretty common as its
also the top colour of my Tomcat i'm working on at the moment.

Cheers fellas for you kind comments.

Phil
