I received theWingnut Wings LVG C.VI kit today.
Wow! :o
I am so impressed that I am speechless, er. well, almost.
The kit knocked my socks off!
The instructions are a 28 page book in color!
The decals are most impressive. :D
The box itself is a work of art, and strong enough to actually protect the contents. :D
It is obvious that the guys who are producing this line of kits are doing it as a Labor of Love.
I will have to get the others and I am saving up my pennies now (well more like quarters) for the Gotha.
As we used to say in the early 1940's, Hubba Hubba! :P

And I have to make my quarterly tax pre-payment in June.

Hi all,

Howabout starting a never-ending topic to make the others jealous by showing what goodies you added to your stach.
I better begin.

Won this today on Ebay Belgium as an entry for the "Blitzkrieg" groupbuild on a Dutch forum...

And ,a bit off topic, also these two 1/48 Classic Airframe Fabricwing Hurricanes (same groupbuild). I only wanted the Belgian one.But I won the other one too on Ebay Italy as I wanted to make sure to get at least one fabricwinger...

Went to the Sandy eggo regional today, and picked up: a Centurion Mk5 w/ 'dozer blade, and a Dragon Wagon, (1/35th)
The lady and the Tigers, Filming the Dambusters, 1/35th PT boat PE(20.00), signed Dick Rossi AVG art, a history of NAS North Island, and the Smithsonian book on the restoration of a DH-4.
The NAS No. Island book confirms P-12s on the "army" side during the 30s, and I found out the Sparrowhawks were there as a transiant sqdn, during the same time, but"Navy" side.

At Model Expo yesterday I spent six months worth of hobby money in the short space of ten minutes getting my resin fix for the year. Purchased Avionix beautiful F-105G cockpit set, stunning and oh so full of tiny little parts. But the big one was lashing out on the Montex Fury II. The Montex kit is simply gorgeous!!! Hands down the best kit I've ever seen. The only wrinkle on a perfect day was finding out the kit is missing it's wheels and spats. (Remain calm and keep taking deep breaths.) I'm sure it will all get worked out and the vender will get me my wheels it's just a bit of a hassle. Plonked down some more cash on other bits and bobs, tools, etch and some Quickboost resin. All thanks to the Australian governments " Economic stimulus package"

Great time at the Expo as well... Some days it's just great to be alive.

Great score Dan! Sorry we couldn't catch up. I've just got back myself, having spent up at the swap meet. Managed to scrounge the Doyusha A6M2, Revell's reboxing of the Lysander, Revell's big Mirage, and the ProModeller Me 410 in 1/48 - all for bargain prices! Next year though, I think I'll probably skip the swap and do like you did. All that aftermarket stuff is sorely tempting, and you generally only find kits and books at the swap meets (after which I'm usually broke!).

I've seen that Fury kit in the box, and it's a ripper. Hard to believe it's resin when you look at the parts. They look injection-moulded, and by Tamiya no less. Can't wait to watch you build it!
