Looks good so far, but let me send you engine data ASAP, as the shape/size of the engine intake/cowl/exhaust are probably suspect in your drawings.

Glad to see you're working away. However, in the new photos, the canopy is way too bulbious and the fairing to the engine doesn't start as a point, rather it has more of a radious. If you don't already have it, I'd recommend Aero Detail 10 on the He162. Thought the drawings are not very good, there are lots of good photos of most of the features, and they'll give you most of what you need to get the subtleties of the shapes, especially around the wing roots and lower engine fairing.

Did you get my drawings?

I just got the drawings. thanks !

I wasnt to sure about leading edge of the engine mount. so I under built it, no I know thanks.

the canopy was overbuilt and will be filed down on a jig for the sake of symetry.

thanks for the pics you sent, and for the honest comments. I want this to look as close as I can to the real thing.

do you by any chance have a full profile of the engine?

ive been looking and havent come up with any drawings. I am looking for just the basic profile so i can turn the blank on a small lathe.

thanks for your help, i think i can do this!

I am hopeing to start a rubber mold of it within 2 weeks. then cast the next stage in a harder resin. this casting will be the stage where a cockpit is built and the panel lines scribed ect. I would like to do a running article at this stage and follow through the final molding and casting stage. I think people would be interested in following me through the stages to see whats involved in the prosess. I am hopeing sometime in march I will be finished "I HOPE!! " and I could begin casting for people.

I really appreciate all of the interest in this.

and as always I want people to feel free to E-mail me at any time with comments and info on this beautiful but often forgotten Aircraft.

Thanks agian!! Joshua Knuth
