wunwinglow
I wondered if anyone with a ZM Skyraider kit would be prepared to measure up the kits windscreen moulding for me? I'm sizing up a Trumpeter kit for an AEW1 conversion but withe the overwide Trumpeter kit parts, the differently shaped sliding canopy on this version is getting seriously overwide to look good. I think I will have to sort out the windscreen after all..... Thanks in advance Tim PS if I could borrow a canopy windcreen to measure, that would be even better! Promise not to damage it of course!!!
BloorwestSiR
Tim, I have one coming in a few days. If no one else responds by then, I'll take measurements for you. Carl Edited September 12, 2016 by BloorwestSiR

Alburymodeler
Canopy rails are 24.7 mm, back of windscreen right on 20mm, but the grey plastic where it sits is 21.6mm. Hmmmm. Not sure how that works out. But the canopy is vacform thin so I suppose it bends out a bit.
wunwinglow
Thanks indeed Albury! I also need the height of the canopy frame and width of the front panel, if that is possible! Thanks again!

Alburymodeler
A = 8.8mm, B= 14.8, C = 20 at the clear bit and a bit wider at the grey plastic, D = 24.5 (down 0.2 from yesterday)
wunwinglow
Thanks indeed, that is exactly what I needed. I'll make a mock-up windscreen and see just what else I might have to change on the Trumpeter kit. I suspect it might be a bit more than I hope......
