Microtextile Seat Belts

Recommended Posts

Guest Clunkmeister

I love the HGW belts. I've tried the RB ones, liked them alt too, but HGW is just more available to me.

I only wish they printed both sides like the RB versions. :(

PVA glue is certainly the best glue for this kind of job (textile or paper belts). I use the Pacer formula 560, but any other kind of white glue should work nicely. You just have to apply a small drop, you press the belt for a few seconds, clean the excess and it's done. And the belt remains more flexible than with CA.

But i still use CA to glue the belts on the seat.

I used Krystal clear the other day. Works well.

Clunk, I just found 5 sets of RB Luftwaffe belts. You need a set?

I was about to order more when I happened to open the correct 109 box. :)

I actually use the very thin CA since I can use just at tiny bit applied with a pin to lock down the seatbelt and the buckle if I need to or to attach the pad to the back of the buckle.  I use thicker CA for attaching the PE to the seat or frame unless the attachment point is very noticeable, then I go back to the very thin CA and the pin.

Have not used the water based/canopy glue before but will try it now...
