Gene Posted October 22, 2003 Share Posted October 22, 2003 To extend its flight, the B-25Bs of Doolittle's Raiders carried ten 5-gal. gas cans, which were puntured and discarded overboard when empty. maverick728470 Posted October 22, 2003 Share Posted October 22, 2003 Gene, From what the movie showed and from the stuff i have about the raid.They were shiny aluminum cans,kid of like the ones that laqcuer thinner came in from autobody shops sold back in the mid 70's and 80's.And for the style of the can,u can see them at u'er hardware store or WAL-MART or etc.Their a rectangle on all four sides and the top and bottom are same shape as the sdies.Larry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
