Pickelhaube
Why is it called BBI/21st Century when it is cast resin and the original releass of BBI/21st Century used injected plastic??? Am confused Cheers Alan Because it is in the same vein. People will search for 21st century and so on to find the items for sale.. 1/18 scale helo collectors will search those heading because they all manufacture helos. When they do that the Hind will turn up in there search on e-bay. Edited August 19, 2017 by Pickelhaube

Dave Williams
WOW!! Looks like they might have even captured the "twist" too. But where the hell would you PUT it?!?? I'm not sure about that since there isn't a dead on front view. However the top view seems to show the tail boom bent over to one side, which is new to me. TonyT
Why is it called BBI/21st Century when it is cast resin and the original releass of BBI/21st Century used injected plastic??? Am confused Cheers Alan It is the scale i believe, they specialised in producing models in 1/18 scale, with them no longer on the scene there is a vacuum in anything being released. scvrobeson

CATCplSlade
Yes, with the demise of 21C most of the third parties are making new stuff from resin or through 3D printing.
ssculptor
I remember seeing the 1/18 21st Century King Tiger tank model at the Toy Show in New York City. The sales man said they will release it soon. Unfortunately the stock Market crash fell on them too. At least their 88mm AA gun got out just before the end. Oh well. If the slight difference in size doesn't bother you we also have more 1/16 scale plastic tank models being released. And there are the Bandai 1/15 German Mark IV and Sturmgeschutz when one can find them on eBay. I still have my wood 1/16 Sherman and weasel kits and the Strombecker 1/16 old twin turret light tank ("combat car") from the war years. So I am not complaining. CATCplSlade
We wonder what became of those King Tigers as the last word was that they were waiting to ship. There was going to be an A-10 in 1/18 but some jerk stole the prototype.
Pickelhaube
I did made the tail asymetrical like the original . But the tail being bent in the picture is a goof. The tail is removable and when taking the pic I bumped it and did not notice what I had done. I have had somebody on ebay ask me if that is how it was built. Nope just me not paying attention. BTW I have made the Tiger II in 1.18th scale and I know all about the A-10 debacle. I was also the guy who built the 1/18 scale H0-229 Horten. That was a great success. TonyT
I remember when a bargain store in the UK got hold of the 1/32 kits stock and sold them off at £1-99 each, I still have a cupboard full of them, at one point I had about 40, such a shame and waste as they were a forward moving company. Out2gtcha
Wow, I'm not generally a tank guy but a 1:18 TII would be pretty cool
Pickelhaube
I am not sure if this is allowed , if so I will offer one more presale offering of this kit @$300 plus shipping. . The presale price has been out there on other forums and I think it is only fair to offer it here at the original price. We are looking at least 1 month for turn over. 36 kits have been sold to date. f8fanatic
awesome looking model....but some of the rotor blades look like they are on backwards. Now, to knock down some unneeded walls in the house so I would have somewhere to display it.....
