Evil Carrot, whats in the red box under the Kingfisher?

It's a 1/12 scale Excalibur https://www.scalemat...bur-ss-roadster

A rebox/copy of an old Bandai kit.

Karim,

I am truly impressed...having seen your builds in the past the WNW will be excellent,  but The T72?...that, my friend is quite impressive...I'm a fan of the T72, I think I have 5 of the Tamiya 1/35 with various conversions etc..., so I'm not one to judge...I will be most interested to watch this build.

Brilliant.

Peter

I saw a build blog of the new 1/48 Gaspatch Henschel HS-123 on another site and bought one 20 minutes later.  I've wanted to build a 123 for a while now, but after the stories about the Italeri offering, I kept my money in my pocket.

Apparently Galland flew one in 1939 and one of the five schemes is is dedicated to his crate.  His name is even on the box...

It's quite a kit for the scale with some pretty amazing detail.

What seems to be the problem with the Revell/Italeri/Tamiya kit? I've seen several built that all looked quite nice.

Here is a quote from Fred A. Amos from an IPMS/USA review:

"I wouldn’t recommend this kit for the novice or light-hearted modeler but if you want an unusual Luftwaffe aircraft for your collection, this will have to do until somebody comes along with something better."

Well...something better has come out.  And I'm not far from a "novice or light-hearted modeler".

Very interesting. I knew Fred for many years, and was quite shocked to hear in September, that he'd died a few months before.

Can't wait to start it. Need some refs though for the seat rail system for the Martin Baker Mk. 5 installation,

Still waiting for the OV-10 seats to become available again at Spruebrothers, then my Collection for that is complete. even got a few rolls of EX-line for the cables...
