Derek B
If I can get adequate reference material, I'll most likely build one of these for the DT GB: Cessna Model 337 0-2 Skymaster. Not certain exactly which variant as yet or scheme, but we'll see? Derek Edited September 19, 2014 by Derek B Girlscanplay2
andromeda673
here's something unusual! nice choice, I look forward to seeing this one come together, the level of scratch building here on these forums is unreal! Derek B

Thank you andromeda673 - I can see this aircraft as being a real challenge to make; probably the most difficult subject that I have had to consider making (I remember the problems I had making a 1/72 kit of the aircraft back in the early 70's, so I do not anticipate it being any easier in 1/32 scale!). Youngtiger1
Totally cool choice if you do decide to build one. Couple of my U-2 buddies use to own one and I've logged about 4 hours on the stick. Now this guys are flying for Southwest and the Skymaster is long gone...boy I missed those days. Well, I will follow with great interest Derek B

Couple of my U-2 buddies use to own one and I've logged about 4 hours on the stick. Now this guys are flying for Southwest and the Skymaster is long gone...boy I missed those days. Well, I will follow with great interest Thanks Mike, I always considered that if I make an 0-1 Bird Dog that I would also have to make an 0-2 to go with it. Nice to know that you had some stick time in one (I have nothing at all on this aircraft, so pilots and/or maintenance notes would be a Godsend). I am not sure what version to concentrate on? The purist in me says do the 0-2A without spinners and armed to the teeth as a pure FAC thoroughbred, whilst the 0-2B PSYOPS opens up new possibilities (rarity value here, whilst I personally like the later USAF and ANG 'Lizard' (European 1 and 2) schemes, which look really cool (I haven't even considered the USN or Army versions as yet?)...Decisions, decisions?... Jack
Oh yeah, way to go Derek, hope you have fun building this gem, always liked the "push-and-pull", not only its looks but also its "noise" is very typical. J. Derek B

Derek B
Derek, ...is it still fun? Hi Jack, Will be when I can find time to make any headway with it! (still acquiring data for it, but I cannot make an 0-1 without making an 0-2 as well, so they will get done eventually!). Derek

Derek B
Hi Maru, The reason this project stalled is because I could not get hold of any good reference or data on the aircraft to start with - it is not as easy to obtain as I thought it would be. One day, when I have enough data, I shall ressurrect the project. Cheers Derek
