Hi everybody,

some months ago I started a new project with the aim to replicate the following Italian bird

Here some pictures starting from pilot's office:

Then, after assembly, I started the painting job.

NMF has been obtained using mainly KColors Chrome Aluminium, The variations in tone being obtained by white or black background color.

Next pictures will take us where the model stands today.

I painted large Italian roundels on wings, flashes on wingtip tanks and stripes on the rudder. Then I added several decals.

The 5th Aerobrigata badge (archer), call number and serial no. have been made specifically for me by a friend, while all stencils are from the box.

At present I'm dealing with a little challenge: from books I learned that Italian Thunderjets only carried HVRs, four per pylon, hanged to the inner pylons.

I have the HVRs and I'm trying to understand how the rails were built.

One reference I found is this one, considering inner pylons only.

I will follow-up as soon as some progress will be made.

Awesome! I got Portugese markings for mine.

May I ask, which seat belt set did you use?

Hi,

honestly I don't exactly remember the brand but, based on what I found on the web, I assumed that standard WW2 USAF seat belts should be OK and very likely I used those supplied by HGV.

I hope the above will be of some help for you.

Ciao Filippo, in my opinion, Kcolors are a very good products, they are made in Italy but also available abroad.

I used them already a few times, specially for NMF. If you go to their website, look at X100 series. X100 White and X100 Black are base colors and, for instance, Chrome 15 Alluminium is the basic color fo NMF.

Hi everybody.
I managed to build my interpretation of these HVAR rails and I dry assembled everything prior to paint or, may be change something.

Let start with the rail itself:

and then everything fitted to the wing:

HVARs I used are those supplied with the HB kit, but I just learned that they are too long, see in them here compared with those supplied by CMK that should be correct.

Already sent out my order for those CMK rockets.

Any comment/suggestion is very welcome.
