I (like a LOT of people) kinda thought it was a misguided and overpriced master for a billion dollar paper weight...........and still might be, but after talking to so many of the pilots who fly them about it, and seeing one close up it is indeed growing on me a bit, and Im getting some actual hope they they have worked the major bugs out. Guest Smitty44 Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 As a former Marine I absolutely love the Harrier and remember watching in amazement at MCAS EL Toro long ago when the AV-8A was brought into service long before I was a Marine. I have seen Harriers take off and land until I was cross eyed and watching the F-35B do so is a complete joy. I hope they will come to perform well in the skies also.... D.B. The Hornet was the the last US type I actually liked, but I am passing on one for the collection as there is no Brit connection. Now, the F23 I thought was spectacularly beautiful!
