Tamiya's Masking Sticker Sheet question

Recommended Posts

I've got one, maybe silly, question on the Tamiya's masking sheets:

http://tamiya.com/english/products/87129masking_sheet_1mm/index.htm or the other, plain, version.

Is it possible to print something on this using standard inkjet printer?
Has anybody tried it?
I said it's possibly a silly one as it should have some paint and thinner resistence, so...

Any reasonable advice is appreciated.
I need to find something that is printable (in good quality) and doesn't leave any residues after temporary sticked onto plastic.

Thanks a lot.

Rather than buying the very expensive Tamiya masking sheets, I just print out whatever I want on my plain paper laser printer, and then coat the back side with Microscale Metal Foil Adhesive. Once completely dry, you can cut out the masks you need with scissors. If the glue is completely dry on the paper before you put it on the model, you have a temporary mask that is removable with no residue left behind.

Thanks for the answers!
Much appreciated.

I've ordered one pack of the Tamiya sheets. So I'll try that road.

The Microscale way sounds interesting. But first I need to get their products somewhere over here, at reasonable price.
But if it can glue metal foil, it could be useful anyway...

:hmmm:
