This is the Tamiya 1/48 scale Betty.Must say that it was an easy build. Everything straight out of the box except the seatbelts. I tried to build a very weathered aircraft, kind like this;

The kit; build OOB except for the Eduard seatbelts, used electric wire for modeltrains for the brakelines and ignitionwires. Maskes it with painterstape, I bought the Eduard mask but they sucked. Had the mask for the meatballs to but they sucked too...... (I believe it was the old Eduard stuff because they were made of green vinyl)

Did the usual stuff; primer , preshade, post shade, chipping.

Painted the kit with Tamiya acrylics; IJN green, preshade it with the same green colour mixed with sea-blue, underside IJ grey, IFF lemon-yellow with a dot of red.

Exhaust stains are Revell paints; sand colour, red-brown and black.

Chips; Revell silver and Tamiya cockpit green.

Fuel stains; artist oil-pencils

Wheels; Revell silver and flat black. weatherd it with tamiya weatheringpastels and Vallejo pigments.

Very nice mate! I've always wanted to build one of these. Welcome aboard too.

I've moved your thread over here to Non-LSP Works, as the Works in Progress forum is reserved for 1/35 and larger aircraft and helicopters.
