LSP TIGERMEET-GB

Dondy

Recommended Posts

Hi folks :D

Here is my entry for this years (Bodensee) GB. :)

I will use a 1/32 Revell F-104G with a TrueDetails Resincockpit, some scratchbuilding and TauroDecals.

The main problem will be airbrushing the tigerstripes as there are no decals for them.

But I hope I will somehow come close to the original :D

another great choice! dondy, where did you get the true-details-cockpit?

Hi Starfighter

I got the cockpit from www.buyamodel.com. Don't know if they still have them in stock. I bought mine about 1 year ago.

I tossed the idea using the resin cockpit as it represents a G-Version and not an S-Version.

And as I won't open the canopy I will now use the Revell cockpit tube with some small adjustments

But first of all, I have to scratch build a new ejection seat. I'm using an old Revell Phantom II seat here.

Are you asking me if I will put it in on a pole or something along these lines?

If yes, then the answer is no :D

Some update on my seat.

I used some Milliput for the upper cushion and a resin block for the parachute housing. It's a little bit too small I I don't care

For the seatbelts I used some Tamiya tape and aluminium kitchen foil.

It doesn't look exactly like an GQ7A but what the heck ;)

Some scratchbuilding in the tube. I used the TrueDetails cockpit as a guide.

And I also altered the instrument panel a little bit, to replicate a S-Version panel
