Nice!

I Didnt really have any interest in the two seat FE-2b with the exception of the pusher config, but after building my WnW DH-2 pusher, Ive been thinking a nice night fighter FE would look nice in the display cab next to it...................

Will be following along with great interest.

The Fee is a fun aircraft and was used quite a bit.

I enjoyed the build I did of the early one, so this one called out to me!

Just got the Fawcett figures for the pilot and observer....now I can resume cockpit building. This'll look cool.

I wonder if there are plans to do additional Fee markings?

Tim, How are the figures looking? I see from your comment of last post that they came and that you are carrying on with the cockpit. Will you be posting any pics later...when you have time, please. Much thanks and keep it going.. :goodjob:

Pix coming soon! As usual, life and work have prevented me from taking update shots of either the Fee or the Hannover. But stay tuned!

Nice, Once I finish my RE-8, I'll try my Fee as well. Are you doing a night bomber?

I've hemmed and hawed about the version--I did my Early Fee as a daytime fighter/escort, and part of me wants to do another one. But the options are limited with the Late kit (I don't really want to do Richtofen's first victim or a flying school a/c, interesting as those are).

So I'm thinking the 100 Squadron night bomber is the way to go, though it doesn't have the cool rear-mounted MG. I did notice the built kit on the WNW website does have it, so maybe I'll stick it on anyway.

Cheers,

Hah. No, I haven't given up on this/forgotten about it but I have been distracted by lots of other projects.

Going to get back to this this weekend and hopefully post some pix of progress to date.

Still hemming and hawing about doing the night bomber v. another daytime fighter. I really like both variants, especially the ones with the rear-firing acrobat Lewis gun.

Stay tuned.

After consideration, I'm doing this one up as an 11 Squadron FE-2 using option "B" from the kit. Rather than making it the training squadron, I'm backdating it to the operational aircraft--which means adding armament, but not too much else. The whole thing will eventually be mounted on a board with the crew doing their "which way is Pozières?" preflight discussion. Might add a figure or two on the ground, but we'll see.
