scvrobeson
Wow, that decaling is fantastic. Was the dragon decal included in the kit? How did you get it to sit in all of the surface detail like that? This Sabre build is spectacular, I can't wait to see what happens next. LSP_Kevin
This is one of the most evocative natural metal finishes I've seen. Kev
somnas
Another question about the aluminium powder, do you seal it in any way (with varnish or anything like that) after buffing the Alclad piece with it?
oppenheimer
Thanks guys for you kind words, Matt i use Micro Sol for the decals, i wet the surface with the liquid then apply the decal, then i wet the decal with micro sol again let it dry then apply the liquid several times till it looks like paint, after that i use tamiya weathering white over the decal to reduce the contrast of the color and to make it look like faded paint and not the glossy look of the decal. Somnas, i dont seal the aluminum powder at all, if you seal the surface you will loose much of the metal look over the plastic Edited February 28, 2015 by oppenheimer

Gerhard
Old thread, but what was used for the Zinc Chromate? I was always under the impression that the Sabre wheel wells and the inside of the air brakes were interior green, or have I lost the plot?
