wunwinglow
Hey overseas chaps, we've collapsed the value of the £ for you, what more do we need to do to get you to come to Telford!!?? I'm hoping to come for the whole week end next year, and a team tee shirt would be be a brilliant idea! Might encourage me to shed a couple of ounces of surplus in the meantime too..... Pascal
Hi Pascal - just off to bed - will write up a more detailed history later this week. For those that don't know: I've almost exclusively been building 1:32 scale aeroplanes since about 1985 after being encouraged by the late Edgar Brooks - I can blame him! Set up the 1:32nd Scale Special Interest Group in 1998, with John 'Tigger' Wilkes, as a global group with a forum and website at www.skywriters.net In the early naughties we became an official IPMS-UK Special Interest Group and more recently have found a home here on LSP. Back in the day we simply wanted to promote Large Scale aviation modelling - there wasn't a lot available back then and the scale was a bit of an unusual backwater in the hobby. Our primary focus these days is to get together and fly the flag with a stand at Telford every year. Oh how things have changed! Iain Thanks for the info Iain. I think it's because of people like you (and this forum !), that 1/32 has become such a popular scale. Keep up the good work !
