LSP_Ron
I started this last night as a quick build for my office. I am doing it up in 1930's Lufthansa markings. Even though this kit was discontinued in 1999 it's a little gem of a kit needing no filler. Joe66, LSP_K2, Alain Gadbois and 1 other

LSP_Kevin
Cool project, Ron. Those early Italeri kits were the bee's knees when I was a kid. Better than the Airfix, Matchbox and Revell fare that I was used to, and before I'd ever seen a Hasegawa kit. They also did great subject matter. I never built this one, but I'd like to. Will be good to see yours come together. Kev LSP_Ron
LSP_Ron
Thanks, I just hope the 18+ year old decals hold up. That is the only downfall with old Italeri kits, their decals really sucked. They always silvered and don't react to any type of sol. I plan on applying them with future, I hope it works. Ron LSP_K2
Wolf Buddee
I'd also take the precaution of putting a layer of Micro Decal Film over top of them to mitigate any chance of the decals shattering on being dipped in to water. Cheers, Wolf LSP_Ron

Hubert Boillot
Lovely subject, especially in Lufthansa markings. The Ju-86 is associated with special memories for me. It was featured (with drawings ) in the first issue of Scale Models I ever bought, back in the mid-seventies. This is when I got hooked with English-speaking modelling magazines, thus discovering a whole-new world. Hubert LSP_K2 and LSP_Ron
LSP_Ron
Kool Hubert I managed to lay down some paint yesterday. The canopy fit is horrible. I've filled it three times and it still looks bad. Oh well. I've also experimented with the old decals and they hold up just fine and react very well to mirco sol which really surprises. I now have to paint the engine nacelles semi gloss black and then off to the decal department.... Hubert Boillot

LSP_Ron
Thanks, no progress. I've been traveling up until yesterday. This evening I painted the black on the V2. This is next, maybe tomorrow or later tonight. Ron Mark M
