Scalephantomphixer
Looking great so far. What scale is your Mustang? And tell us what kind of an awefull torture device is that pin pointing up through the seat cussion? I am sure it might be somewhat uncomfortable, but for sure it will keep the pilot upright and stretch his tongue when he's pulling high Gs... Sorry, I couldn't resist Pierre
Chris Hannover - Germany
It´s 1:32 of corse... With that pin you fly without any seatbelts It´s only a toothpick for painting. i´ll remove it and fill it with a cushion. The cushion is already finished. I only have to paint it. It´s from plasticine, coverd with tamiya masking tape. Cheers
JimInOz
Good one Hannover Chris , I like the wooden finish on the cockpit floor . Is the oxy tube a kit item or did you scratch it ? if so, what did you use? Thanks for the cushion tip, I reckon it had better be a good one to cover that spike , the pit it looks the business so far . Cheers Jim
alaninaustria
Looking good Chris! I had to cringe a bit when I saw the toothpick, but it's just for painting.... right? Cheers Alan
Chris Hannover - Germany
Just for painting, right... Thanks guys! Jim, oxy tube is kit part, i only length it a bit with plastic sheet and added a copperwire around it. Cheers
Chris Hannover - Germany
Hi all, time to update this project... I´ve decided now, it will be the "Detroit Miss" of the 361st Fighter Group. (No. 414 164) BTW, does someone know if this Mustang had a mirror over the windscreen? And one more, the gun pipes, do they look out of the wingnose or are the end of the pipes behind the wingnose? Thanks and Cheers
