Lancman
Well here is an update, everything stopped for about a month due to Chrimbo but work will start again. The first picture is the replacement canopies which John Wilkes "Tigger" made for me thanks very much John, there are the new ones with 2 of the old yellowed ones along with white ones made out of 10 thou sheet which I will use first before attempting to fit the clear ones. The other pictures are of the bomb bay, the real one measures 33 feet which is 396 inches and mine scales up at 396.8 inches that's the nearest I could get using a 12 inch rule but I am happy. I have had to fit it to give the fuselage some strength as I attempted to scibe it as it was but the plastic is too soft and flexed, the other half is even thinner. My plan is to build and detail the insides without the turrets and fit the fuselage parts together then do the scribing/riveting as it will then be pretty solid, the detailing in the bomb bay will take some time and be pretty boring as it will be mostly cutting and glueing plastic strip but hey you gotta start somewhere. Hope you like it so far, I will keep you posted. Cheers Graham.
