Hasegawa Me 109 K4

Recommended Posts

Chris, it should be ok with RLM66.

Look at my Dora. I did preshade with plain black and I think that effect is quite subtle, even on RLM76 (maybe even a bit too subtle on right side, almost invisible).

And no, I did not create a very thick coat of paint, very fine rivet lines are still visible.

So I guess you can go with this with no problem.

Chris,

Just a question.

Why do you use silver first?

I remember reading that matt paint doesn't stick to silver ;)

As a primer I always use the Humbrol nr 1 matt

Great looking 109...again .

Erwin,

i use a silver coat first as primer. So i have a constant colorcoat, the plastic is light grey of the kit and i used some Revell kit parts, they are sand brown, Putty and the plastic sheet are withe. The silver makes it constant. And, of corse, the real plane is out of metal. You can also with a rough sponge go over several areas to get a used look.

I did the same at my G4 and have no problems with that methode. I can really recommend that.

Thank you too for the kind words :P ;)

Alan,

thank you. Colors are RLM 75, 76, 81 and 83 on fuselage

and RLM 75 and 83 on upper wings.

Cheers

Chris Hannover
