Well Folks, Here is what a Rare Revell N1K1-J Shiden, Allied Code name GEORGE, looks like out of the box with glue and paint.

Had some work things that slowed production towards the end, but she is now the 3rd in my Captured Japanese Fighter Collection.

Now I'll be posting in the Non-LSP for the rest of the year with a Anigrand 1/72 KC-10 and Hasagewa B-47 for the museum.  ENJOY!lraXdmc.jpgaATPOnd.jpgPa6DOqI.jpg5beELDC.jpgzOFZdN0.jpglxNtHcA.jpghQR6Se1.jpg0CHXgSv.jpg

Fantastic Jack!

I really liked the challenge of using the kit decals only. The proof that these old kits still have a lot to offer. The result is there to demonstrate this!

I have one kit that I could build the same way: an Airfix Spitfire in 1/24.

Might well do that one after the 262, as a totally relaxing build!

I will follow your other projects, especially the B-47!

Thanks Alain,  I was happy with the kit decals in the end, I know they're not "Show quality", but she will still be in the OOB category. Some day they will all be part of a collection.

As for the B-47, I'll probably use it as a "Break from the KC-10" when it starts to GRIND on me. I build the B-47 years ago and looking forward to doing this one again.

I do love building the Classic Plastic!

OK, not quite done yet,  While building I mentioned the warp in the fuselage and someone responded about the warp in the wings.

I could see why someone would think warped wings. it's a reverse gull-wing along the trailing edge

I did not remove the gun gondolas from the bottom of the wing?...... OOB you know

Kept the removable lower cowl, to expose the engine,,,Radials are KOOL!!

I don't think you can see the shapes and how things flow on this bird.

3D is a whole different look, I can appreciate the design by seeing

and compare to US or Brit designs. The GEORGE looks close to a

    P-47, but not as muscular.

I never dreamt of acquiring this  rarity when I started my J2M3 JACK

3 months ago, but here I 'm (Traded HC P-38H/J with some AM decals).

Will build more when I get the museum planes done.

      JURRASIC PLASTIC  ROCKS!!!!!
