  3. Hi everybody, Maybe its too late or maybe not probably it would help someone who wants to build a nice Tony like Radu did.I found it yesterday browsing the net,it's a link to a Tony restoration, some interesting photos. Radu, you did a great job once again and not only on this Ki-61 but your all models are 10+ for me. Jos cu palaria. mykyb the link http://community.webshots.com/album/235442219eKCadh/1
  4. Nice work Dave.I'd like my Spitfire turn as nice as yours, great work.Don't bother whit the radiator, when the plane will be in proper position nobody will see that little mistake. What about the canopy! You sad it's a vac?Who made it?I like also that cockpit framing .Great work! mykyb...........
  5. Looking great Brian as Alan mentioned above.I have some more photos and I'm willing to share whit you, just drop me a line.I'll need your help too, about a painting scheme of a Spitfire Mk Vb served in Malta on which I'm working now. cheers, mykyb
  6. Hi Dave, After your e-mail I"ve checked the LSP Forum and I saw your Spit.I have to tell you it's an impressive bird and it's dirty enough so don't add anything else let it be as she is ,nice paint job I really like it.good work Dave. mykyb...................
  7. Hi Brian, Probably to late but maybe useful.
  8. Hi, Thanks a lot Piet and Bob A for your effort,I don't know why but I always choose a subject which has always something unclear .Anyway, I'll drop this on and choose another tropical Spitfire.Any suggestion or maybe a painting scheme? mykyb..............
  9. Hi Piet, Thanks a lot for your help, yes It would be nice if you can dig the subject a bit further because I'd like to build my Mk Vb in Mediterranean camouflage and markings.I have lots of photos about Spitfire but only on in color from this camouflage and only one about this bird.By the way in my opinion this one is an Mk Vb.Look at the "B" type wing. So, if you have any other picture/s describing this kind of camouflage wearing aircraft I would appreciate if you could share it whit me. Cheers, mykyb..............
  10. Hi everyone, Does anybody know the serial number of this particular bird from 417 Sqd ( City of Windsor)?I'd appreciate any help. mykyb.............
  11. Hi Chris, I'm impressed.Very well done paint job and about the decals I'm envious ,but this is life.Nice work Chris.I also started thanks to your nice work to build a Mk Vb I'll post soon some photos. Have you tried or have you had any success to order a spare decal sheet for me?If YES or even if NO thanks anyway. mykyb.............
  12. Hi Chris, Thanks man, Yes, all the stuff was painted whit airbrush.I used the Model Master paints for RAF ,Dark Green/Dark Earth over Sky type S.and the Letters was painted whit Medium Sea Gray.I used 60%paint/40% thinner and I sprayed it in two thin layers, than after two days I used 2000 sand paper and using water I sanded down the all surface to obtain a smooth surface.I used gloss varnish than the washes and finally the semi gloss finish.A thin coat( 20%paint/80% thinner) of Tamyia smoke and than the exhaust smoke whit a combination of black/brown and a little gray. That's all. mykyb............
