Hi, all.  Here's a recently completed build of Tamiya's new-ish M4A3E8 Sherman.  This one had been sitting on my shelf of doom for nearly a year, but for some reason I got the urge to finish it recently. I'm really happy with how this one turned out and would rate it as one of my top 2-3 kits. The sandbags are made from Milliput. Several of the decals and some of the stowage came from the older Tamiya M4 Sherman kit. I know the serial number is probably not appropriate to a late Sherman, but I wasn't really going for the strictest historical accuracy.  I have no idea where the German stahlhelm originated, but the chinstrap is Tamiya tape painted brown. I was going for a very late winter 1945 look and I think I hit as close to the mark as my skills are able. Paints are Tamiya and Vallejo. Chipped using the hairspray method. Weathered with oils from Winsor as well as Abteilung 50[whatever]. Pigments are a mix of pastels, Wilder, and Mig products. The figure is from the older Sherman too, and turned out okay. I'm way out of practice on figures and they were never my strong point to begin with. Photography lighting made a few things look glossier than they are to the naked eye, but c'est la vie I suppose.  C&C welcome.   :)
