There you go, I see a mock dogfight demo at a lot of airshows across the US. L-39 against a "mig-28" soon!

Parking your model aircraft- a caution advisory

I have done the same oops. Several years ago I had 1 /32 HE-219 I recently completed and was puting in my display case nose first and promptly broke every radar antenna off the nose trying to make the tail antenna fit inside the display case. I was too irritated with myself that it still in my case with tha broken antenna still sitting next to it wainting its turn to be repaired (5 years later)... -

You are not alone, I too am in the same boat, been fighting it since 2015. I've had a few spurts of motivation that lasts about 2-3 months tops but then bam, its gone. There wasn't any one thing that sparked the breif mojo rejuvination. One time it was going to the IPMS nationals, another was going to an air museum, a few times it was just seeing someones cool build either at a model club meeting or on a forum. I have several shelf of shame builds recently because I loose intrest 3/4 of the way through the build. Probably don't want to here this but I have recently thought about hanging up the sprue cutters for an extended time frame because the flame has dimmed considerable for me lately. I've been building for about 42 years so I guess things do get old but hopefully things will change for the better- for both of us lol..

Mig-17F. Small and a prolific jet... I know trumpeter has one but.. um...yeah

I've just decanted any of the sprays I like into a jar and airbrush them on the model. Usually the 'hot' stuff (especially Tamiya ts13) becomes a problem eating decals because it comes out too heavy or is sprayed too thick and doesn't dry fast. I haven't had that problem with that when I decant any of the clears.

To Those who have built-Which Tamiya F4U Variant?
The Dude replied to Citadelgrad's topic in LSP Discussion
I have built several tamiya corsairs, all versions. They are all awesome kits if you follow the instructions as Andy said above.. If you want the ultimate weathering project, get the birdcage in two tone camo. If you want the popular legendary corsair camo get the -1a. If you want the easier monotone paint job with mostly clean appearance (there are exception though) then get the -1d. You can't go wrong with any of them. -
Only thing I have heard and seen pending soon from GWH is a 1/48 A-10 series. Thank god it won't be 1/32 as my finances would collapse, It's gonna be bad enough with a potential 1/48 Hog... IMHO anything new from GWH is going to be on par with Tamiya- whatever it is, it's gonna be top notch.

Sounds good, just don't cut it!

Brian, Any local hobby shops worth venturing out for from the cool convention sanctity and into the heat and humidity? lol
-
Well.. if y'all think about it.. a 1/35 scale IJN Akagi is a little easier to scratch build than a 1/32 one...

Well, I have had a rare good turn of luck and I will be going as a last minute tag-a-long with one of my buddies that's going due to his previous carpool ride bailing at the last minute. The only down side is the 13+ hour drive we have to do in one shot- although it shouldn't be too bad splitting the drive between us. Now I am scrambling to get one last new project done for the show.
