That's some good news ! Already has the PCM kit, but a new kit with new moulds at 2023 standards is never too much !

Is Silver Wings still in activity? I sent Simon an email this week but i had no answer. He may be on hollyday or to busy of course, but things have changed so much those last years that i prefer to ask (and i was away so i missed a lot of things).

Same here ! What i like most is starting a kit.... Finishing is just boring, though.... The worst are the little delicate stuff at the very end, pitot tubes, landing gear doors, antennas and so on....
-
I have ordered one from a seller on Aliexpress, but it's been more than a week and it has not been shipped yet. I guess it's a kind of chinese pro-order or something....

Wow.... I dont even understand the purpose of such an agressive and provocative comment....

That weathering is just amazing, that's certainly one of the best rendition of a weathered japanese protective varnish that i've ever seen. Great !

That's a very nicely detailed and crispy job ! I am always astonished how tight and cluttered is a spitfire cockpit... The pilot must definitely not be claustrophobic (or fat) ! -
I love it ! In my opinion it's one of the best era for the US aircraft, i love those pre-war schemes, and the P-40 really looked state of the art for the late 30's.

To sit down at the bench of course !

Hello guys ! I was off for a while ! Due to various life events, and especially because i moved to an old house where there is a lot of work (and it's not finished !) i was not able to sit down for several years. Actually i have not touch a model since 2019 ! But last week i cracked and made an order to my (former) usual shop and bought 7 model kits ! I cleaned some space and started to reorganize my hobby room. I am now working on a trumpeter P-40M (almost OOB, just some Eduard PE for the cockpit), just to warm up and recover from more than a 3 years stop ! I am very sad however to see that in those last 3 years many great names of the model kit world have closed down for various reasons.... Kittyhawk, Wingnut Wings, Grey Matter Resin, Paul Fisher.... What a loss ! I am happy to start again that nice hobby and to see you again guys, and i will try to post something from time to time !

Lol, that's funny you ask... Some Aires sets fit nicely, others are aweful. The F-104 cockpit is certainly one of the worst fit ever. Mine took me almost as long to fit than to build the whole model. I talked about this in the WIP, iirc... However the casting and details are so beautiful that it's "almost" forgiven.

Amazing paint job ! I love the many little touch-ups, that's very realistic. Was it the Tamiya kit?
