Ok Carl, you are killing it! This build is so genuinely motivational and I love it. Thank You for sharing. One day I might build a string bag after all and yes Ernie is awesome :)

Thanks Martin!

I never would have tried building one without Ernie's prodding so, yes he's an awesome guy.

Well, I finally got the control surfaces rigged and attached. It's was a bit of a juggling match to get them in place and rigged but I did it. I used a bit of wire to help pin the control surfaces to the wing as I wasn't too sure about the butt joint otherwise.

With that done, I painted the prop following the kit instructions.

Then it was time to attach it to the fuselage and basically call the build done.

There's one part left which is the gun sight but I need to find it first

I'll get some better pics soon.

Thanks to everyone who followed along. Rigging is a new one for me. Now that I know it's not dinner sort of voodoo magic, I may try another in the future.

Look fantastic, Carl! Congrats on a fine build. Too bad the prop blades are painted silver and not left in a natural wood finish (or that blue even). It would definitely stand out a bit more -- I think.

Thanks Shaka! I was surprised by the colour for the prop too but it is what it is.

WOW ... what a spectacular build ..

Sure wish I had the part to send to you.

Peter

Thanks Peter!

I think it'll turn up. It's still attached to part of the sprue. I trimmed it off to paint it so hopefully it's on my workbench.

Probably mixed in with the Corsair bits.

Or maybe the Spitfire ones.
