Awesome efforts again L.E.M! I'm proud to say I successfully smuggled my Ta-183 back to Singapore to finish what I started in the USA. Fun kit's everyone. The packaging is superb and the actual fit tolerances are simply amazing. Buy with confidence too.

lol, no Alan, he had an ingress/egress hole

 

BUT, the landing gear was designed to be jettisoned after takeoff (one way trip), it was made of steel and wood and could accept (almost) any engine.

Designed for the expected "invasion" of Japan, but proved so hard to fly (even for experienced pilots) that its use would have been even more tragic when put into inexperienced Kamikaze pilots hands.

It has a bomb crevasse in the belly the bomb was hung on (not drop able),  and was planned to be fitted with rockets to increase the attack speed during the dive into its target.
