Erwin
Hi all, Second build in this GB. As a gift to my 84 year old relative. He always wanted a Spitfire and now it a good time to build it. Edited April 5, 2016 by Erwin geedubelyer, MikeC and Shawn M

Erwin
First progress. A very nice kit. But,for me,a bit overdone with small parts.I don't need a 5-piece seat. Shaka HI, dmthamade and geedubelyer
geedubelyer
Hi Erwin, I was surprised by the complexity of the seat too. It is quite fiddly to assemble so care is needed. (Or a resin replacement.) Once you're into the build I think you'll enjoy it. Cheers.

Parts require some cleaning as well. But, I'll stop complaining given that I got it for a little over $20 U.S.
Erwin
The colours might not be totally correct. But the whole idea is to present a 'nice looking" Spitfire to my relative. Painting done by brush and sponge.Paint is a 50/50 % mix of satin and matt to give a soft shine.
