Stands to reason, the wingfolds I have seen are Zinc Chromate, so, the flaps wells are probably the same. Have to check picks.

Update****After seeing some pics, they are Zinc Chromate like the wing fold areas are. Not the yellow Zince Chromate, the Green Zinc Chromate.

WWII USN wingfolds were never any color of green, except on restorations and other people's models.

 

During WWII, USN wingfold areas were painted the underside color. With very few exceptions, this is true for most flap wells and wheel wells also.
