Thank you Mark.

I'm happy the way this kit builds up.

After all that has been written, this kit is not bad at all.

Almost finished the wheel well, and I like it. Fairly simple, I agree, but for most of builders it will be OK.

Now for the rivet counters, I understand they are disappointed.

Once again thank you all for following this WIP.

Cheers,

Jamme

First off - a big Happy Birthday Jamme - you've almost caught up with me!!

I love your work and now you are working on my second favourite kerosene burner I'm following very closely as it will certainly help me decide as to whether or not to invest in the Italeri or wait for the AFV Club boxing.

So thanks and enjoy your day.

Regards,

Steve S.

Hello everybody.

W.End's UP!

I started the part 3 of the build.

The wheels wells:

These are the parts used:

SAM_0221_zps7f76627c.jpg

I have to say that there is much cleaning to do......

The parts (as mostly till now on this building) have a strong mold line (difficult to understand with new molds....)

But ok, everything is cleaned, assembled, painted (painted everything in white as, once again, the colors ref. given are a little bit a kind of fantasy.....( at least for a Belgian F-104)

Assembly is really easy, not much detail in the wells, and the detail is really "flat". Almost finished.

Here are pictures:

SAM_0225_zps152efe4d.jpg

That's it for the wheels wells.

Now the parts for the engine:

SAM_0222_zps50813b29.jpg

I started the painting of the inside of the engine

That's it for today.

Hope you like it.

Thank you for looking.

Constructive comments and/or questions always welcome.

Cheers,

Jamme

Nice work, Jamme - I'm sure there will be some resin items for this kit soon….. those wheel bays look a bit bare.

Jamme

Absolutely brilliant work and weathering on the gear and wheel wells. Couldn't agree more that Italeri dropped the ball and should have paid a lot more attention the the depth of the detailing. Terrific start on the engine and just can't get over how delicate and realistic your weathering is. Keep 'em coming

Thank you for the nice comment.

Sure that there is place for a resin Wheels bay.

I didn't add anything, as it will be OOB, so builders can have an idea from what's in the box.

Jamme

Thank you very much for following the WIP and for your really nice comments.

You're right about the "depth" and their lack of attention on detail.

20 years ago that detail would be "super" but today....... :hmmm:

Jamme

Hello Jamme, the build looks great. A few questions, can you add the main gear legs after the well has been installed and the fuselage is closed up? The green you use for the exhaust parts is the closest I've ever seen for the real parts, what paint and shade did you use? How is the fit of the two engine halves, will there be an obvious seam inside the tailpipe? Thanks for any answers you can give.

Don
