This feeling is linked to the fact the Allison nose is sleeker than the Merlin one. However, the diameter of both spinners should be identical on a 1/32 kit. If you look closely at pictures, you will see the difference between the kit one and the full scale part.

 

A good clue is the shape of the very end of the fuselage, between the spinner base and the first vertical panel line of the nose. If you look closely there you see that the kit fuselage tapers far too much to have no step with the too small spinner. From the side, the kit has a wrong concave curve. If you correct that area, you immediately see that the spinner is too thin.

 

I corrected my A-36 kit with a converted Hasegawa P-51D part and can tell you there is no more doubt when you have done the correction.
