LSP_Kevin
The theme of the GB is Russian aviation. It will run from April 16 to (Edit by LSP_Ron) December 15. Aircraft of any period in the scales of 1/35 or larger that fall within the following criteria: - Aircraft Designed and manufactured in Russia in Russian livery. - Russian Export: Aircraft designed and manufactured in Russia in foreign livery. - Russian Import: Aircraft not designed or manufactured in Russia that wore/wear Russian livery (lend lease etc) - Civilian and military content are acceptable - "What ifs" do not qualify. The subject is required to have existed in reality. - Started projects must be no less than 25% completed prior to the commencement of the group build. Have fun guys! Out2gtcha
I'm really surprised this is a "short" GB considering all the possible aircraft that are included! I was hoping for a year....Harv I think according to how I read it, this GB was designed to fill a normal 6 month slot ( as there are normally two 6 month GBs) and be the 2nd GB to the multi-wing GB, with Phantom Phevor being the 3rd "extended" GB that was not counted in the normal two GBs. Please correct me if im wrong on that mods. Cheers, Brian
Cunumdrum61
I'll take a shot at this one as I was about to start a new build of the Special Hobby P-39 with Zotz Russian decals that are coming. So a P-39 it will be! I better make a start as I do not build that quickly these days.I will post some pics as I go and I hope you guys can encourage me as I tend to slacken off and start on something else that screams to be built. Cheers. "Из России с Любовью Группа Строят" Translates "From Russia With Love Group Build"

Six months is our standard GB length now, with 3 months being a 'short' one, and special jobbies maybe 12 months (or between 6 & 12 at any rate). LSP_Ron
6 months then...This will be very close. I have a move coming up in a couple of months and I don't even have my wheel wells yet. I will try my best to finish this in time....Harv Sorry Harv, the intent of this one was to fill the last 6 month GB slot. I thought it was a great catagory with a lot of diverse candidates which in theory should allow for a large participate from members. I am sure just about all of us can find something in the stash that can qaulify without much more than perhaps a new set of AM decals. Time permitting, I might enter my PCM Spit. At least the Phantom GM your participating in goes until the end of the year?
OldTroll
A clarification, please - both for this GB and the site in general. Most European-published paper aircraft models are done to 1:33 scale. Is it safe to assume that this is acceptable as an LSP build on this site?

Is it safe to assume that this is acceptable as an LSP build on this site? Yes!!! Also, 1/35th scale is allowed, including several helicopters done in this scale, as well as Tristar's Feislers and L-4's and the V-1(not for this GB mind you, unless you can find some pics of them in Soviet colors). OldTroll
Thanks for the quick answer, Ray. I am toying with the idea of Orel Publishing's "Ilya Muromets" - not committing to it yet but just giving it a look-see. Hmmm...that would get me double credit for this build and the Multi-wing GB, right?? LOL - just being silly.
LSP_Ron
I made the adjustment in the rules to show 1/35 or larger. I wrote them last night forgetting about 1/35 choppers etc that should apply Cheers.
