I want to try and finish as many kits from the SoD as I can in 2017 and to that end here's my latest.

I do love these little critters from Tiger Models, I still have the Spitfire, the La-5 and a few others in the To-Do pile :D

I'm just not into these Egg planes, but I can appreciate the effort and results! Fantastic work!

Thank you one and all gentlemen for your kind comments on my little efforts.  I am so happy others like these little critters and it is neat to see others bashing a few together.  For such a zany concept they have wormed their way into my heart and I just an unusual amount of fun in building them.  So much you can do with them and they sure don't cost much in time or cash.  I will be finishing off the two I have in progress shortly before I start anymore.

I have ideas for doing a very early Spitfire with a two bladed prop and a Junkers powered bf109 B and many others which can be bashed out of these kits which cost $20 and can be snapped together in ten minutes.  I suppose they are closest to those cheap kits we all started with and glued together in a rush on Saturday mornings so we had something to play with on the weekend.

Let me know if you think I've lost my mind and should up my medication.  :D :D :D

Might it be the big red nose or the inordinately large shoes?

Don't mind me, I'm just clowning around with ya  ;)

I love these type of kits and when my club decided to do them I jumped

in with my Meng kids B-17G.  I did change the markings to BitO'Lace for

the build...its in here somewhere.

I purchased the B-17, Lancaster (it's calling my name) and the He-177 when

they first came out.

We have all types of aircraft , Formula 1 Cars and Gundums in these  caricatures.

They are FUN...which is why I build...you can use you imagination ...which I find

some don't have....and most of all you don't have to be so damn serious!!!!!!http://forum.largesc...showtopic=65762

I think you are bang on with that... remember the days of getting a model, a bottle or two of paint and a tube of glue for under a dollar... had it built before bedtime...

I totally agree with you upping your meds... more of these wonderful builds are needed ! :coolio:

Carl- Thanks!  I have done a little work on the bf109G6 critter conversion but most of today was spent on the Meng Kids B-17G.  A nice kit I just wish it had some decals, though I like the Tiger Models house style better.

Vaughn - These kits are great for kids… Of all ages :D

Shawn - Glad you like the little critter.

Marauderdriver - I have been looking over your B-17 a lot and like what you did.  Many of your mods I applied to mine, though I'm too scared to do the same kind of finish.

Dan
