Paul

Is it too early to order the navy AD5 conversion?

I sure hope one of them was mine. You don't know how long I've waited on this one. Thanks Paul.

Hi Peter!

The Navy AD-5 will be along very shortly but I have to decide on decals and how best to set up the more specialized variants such as the AD-5N, W and Q.They all have markedly different internal arrangements and things under the wings ( and fuselage). There's a lot of different stuff to make up, as well as finding some affordable logic to doing proper decals.

I have yet to have a pow-wow with the decal artist and see what we can come up with, but it won't be too long. You know how I like my Navy stuff! Right now I'm building up an A-1E, I honestly think this is the first time I've done a model in SEA camo in 25 years, maybe longer.I have to buy all new paints as the ones I had were from a hobby shop that closed in the 1990's......!

Hi Paul

Much appreciated. Right now I'm waiting for the AD-5 and will just keep an eye out. I'll be more then glad to mail payment now, so I'm on the list. Yup, know how you feel about the Naval stuff for sure.

Just can't wait to get my hands on the AD-5 and go all out with a Gloss Dark Sea Blue finish.

Peter

Hellooooo out there!

I expect the instructions and labels back from the printer tomorrow , we will begin whittling down the pile of Skyraiders by Friday. They all won't go out at once, but we'll do our best to get as many out to you as we can pronto!

I am a-building up one right now, going to try to do Georgia Ann in SEA camo first, see if i can get my airbrushing under control, it's hard to do with my hands the way they are these days.

The parts for the Navy ships are on my bench, it won't be long and we'll have all sorts of fun Spads flying around the joint.

Here's a plain resin quickie

That's the best quickie I've seen for a long time! Excellent work Paul. I'm sure you've got a winner on your hands!

A Marine Corps AD-5 would look glorious on my shelf, any chances?

I'll look around, but most anything with a big MARINES on the side will do. I will say though after a quick look around that GSB Navy training bird out of Los Alamitos really caught my attention. I know that may not sell much, but as an O.C I'm down. Caracal has it on another sheet already.

My AD-5 will be dark sea blue with Willow Green scalloped trim on the cowling, wing and tailplane tips, fin tip all outlined in white. Green and white stripes on the rudder. VA-65 IIRC.
