otis252
Shouldn't the AV-8B+ Radar Harrier have 2 MFD's on the IP? Chuck Edited February 15, 2018 by otis252 Luca
Luca
ok, now we only need a resin cockpit, resin tires and full metal uncercarriage and, of course, a large stencils sheet for all the airframe and ordnance.... Dave Roof
Shouldn't the AV-8B+ Radar Harrier have 2 MFD's on the IP? Chuck Yes, the instrument panel shown is for the standard day attack Harrier. There are a LOT of accuracy issues with this kit, but I don't ever see another one being released by anyone else. This could be a scratch builders dream and in 18th scale, making new, correct parts might be relatively easy. Overall, I have close to 1000 photos of the II Plus, two technical publications covering the airframe and measurements of an aircraft I took while stationed at Cherry Point. I'm seriously tempted to get one and turn it into one of those ultimate 5 to 6 year modeling projects! otis252, Uncarina, A-10LOADER and 2 others
Guest Maxim
Now if it was an F-4 or F-8 I'd be interested. The Harrier looks good and if the outline is accurate a good start for a super detail model.
otis252
I think Dave is right, it make a great project and an awesome displayed model. Looking at the pictures of the parts, there seems to be some issues. However it is a BIG scale Harrier, I'd buy one. Now we just need some cockpit details, most notably a seat and IP. Then some 1/18th scale GBU-12's & 38's. Tanks seem undersized as well. But, we'll see what we got when it hits our hands. A-10LOADER
The GBU-12's already exist, along with other items. You can GOOGLE " Anyuta 3D printed scale models / scale 1/18th / Aircraft Ordnance. Steve otis252
otis252
Steve, you are correct there does exist GBU-12 bombs in 1/18 scale. They look pretty nice, but I gotta say $82.00 plus shipping for 2 bombs is kinda steep, huh? But, they seem to be the only game around. Thanks. Markjames1968
Retail price of a German distributor is Euro 109,99, so I´m sure it will be available at some online shops for less than Euro 100,-.where is this please.
Gerhard
I am going to buy one, it will probably hang off the ceiling in any case. Not a rivet counter so wont pay the $82 for a 2mm correction in bombs.
