K..I'm confused, why do you have FOUR IP's?

Well, originally I had this Spitfire and the 22 in the Jurassic Plastic GB on the bench. Then I had to go look for stuff in a couple other boxes and ended up starting work on a VIII and then a VII too. So there's an HF VII, VIII, XVI, and a 22 on my workbench at the moment.

I just find it easier to paint everything that's three same in one shot.

Kind of like Castle Bromwich maybe?

Happy Robbie Burns Day!

I managed to sneak in a bit of bench time and apply the instrument decals.

I then got to work putting the panels together.

Here's the one for the XVI:

On the next image Shaka, you might want to avert your eyes as I took out most of the sprues that needed to be painted green:

Now onto to the detail painting...

I finally was able to join the engine and its cradle so that part is all finished now.

Back to the cockpit, I painted the seat up. I'm using a Barracudacast one with the seat padding painted green as per Steve. Hopefully it's the right shade of green.

I then started assembling the belts.

They were then attached to the seats and bulkhead accordingly.

The one for the XVI is on the left side.

Just caught up with this Carl, agreed with all that the red and chrome Merlin is something else, but I think I'll be having nightmares tonight after seeing the pic of all those sprues across your "organised" workbench! Looking forward to further progress as ever.

Thanks Max! Your Tiger Moth is looking good too. I need to catch up on your progress there.

My bench isn't that bad. I just had all the sprues out so I could paint them. They're mostly back in their respective boxes now. Here's how my workbench currently looks:

Ha ha, I guess "bad" is a relative term here Carl, I'd be tearing my meagre hair out trying to work on your bench! :) I've got a whole day of Tiger Moth time ahead of me so I'm hoping to crack on, mainly the IPs today so more fiddliness!
