If anyone is interested in a weathered P-61 or P-38, let me know, I have a lot more. Enjoy! Most worn Catalina I have ever seen. Will have to find the backstory to this aircraft. Well worn P-38 - I have a lot more pictures of this bird as well. Non-warbird - didn't see action in WWII. Was mothballed, then pulled back into service by NOAA for hurricane testing (needing props for that work, not jets) and this is the high altitude version of the P-61. The weathering is rather interesting - all over, except the radome in the nose. Yes, it is as big as it looks! Cheers, folks! Rather justifies us taking other airplane kits an converting them to short haul airliners. What comes to mind are: The B-25 Mitchell, TBF Avenger, AD-5 Skyraider, Mosquito, He-111 (originally was an airliner), Beufighter, Ju-88, P-47, almost any big bellied aircraft can have room for a seat or two and port hole windows installed. Make your own post War fast executive aircraft for the busy executives, After WW1 a number of DH-4 aircraft were converted to passenger liners. We can always convert WNW's DH-9 to an airliner. If nothing else you can make good use of all those Revell 1/32 aircraft models they issued in the 1960's through the 1990's. They are inexpensive, even on eBay so you can have some inexpensive exploratory experimentation. Also you can have fun inventing your own airline and airline colors.
