imatt88
Ok all, Shape issues aside, what would it take to make this kit an F model? Cheers, Ian
Lee White
Ok all, Shape issues aside, what would it take to make this kit an F model? Cheers, Ian The kit was marketed as an F, the only difference was you don't add the gun breech bulges.
imatt88
Ok, that's what I thought. Thanks
Chek
I'm following this thread, not because I'll ever build the kit, but because it was in one of the first copies of the original UK Scale Models magazines I ever bought back in the early '70s. It was instrumental in demonstrating to me that what came in the kit box could be viewed as the starting point of something far better. Had I a greater interest in Bf 109s, I daresay I would have started with a later Hasegawa kit, but it's good to see what you're doing with the raw material. As it is, I consider its contemporary Spitfire I sibling a highpoint in kit design, even with the elementary flaws in need of correction that that let it down. imatt88
Chek, I built pretty much all the early Revell 1/32 kits over the years. The issues with the 109s are well documented and I've always wanted to build one properly. Thanks to the articles here and all the help from everyone, it's now possible. All the input helps Cheers, Ian
