This one looks fun :)

I've had this Hasegawa kit kicking around for much too long. Yes, I know exactly how wrong Hasegawa got this one, but I'm going to build it as-is because reasons.

It's going to be dressed in RAF 1426 Flight's uniform as the famous AE479

Cool project Jessie! The nose is a bugger on this kit - I haven't seen one yet where each half doesn't splay in opposite directions. Other than that it goes together pretty well.

Great, finally a captured bird… I was wondering if I was going to have to change my choice of subject ;)

Look forward to following your build.

I happen to have both Hasegawa and Frog versions of this kit and the Hase got a pretty straight fuse, but the Frog got an awful nose that need to be pressed together. Quite fun kit though.

Gonna be interesting to follow your build, Jessie!

Nice Jessie. You do realise that you will have to do one of these as well to complement it?:

Or if you are looking for something on similar terms, then maybe this one?:

Cool. This was the first 109E to fall into allied hands; first the French who gave it to the RAF who then shipped it to the USA, who then wrote it off.

And now to work. I've sprayed some RLM 02 around the various inside bits, covering up that horrible "RLM 02" from Tamiya I brushed on not quite 20 years ago.

And it seems that I have a rarity on my hands; the nose isn't twisted! It lines up all by itself when I clamp the tail together.

Sweet! Will you display the engine on it as well?

Probably not. I like the buttoned up look.

Did someone do the decals for this one or are you going to paint the markings on or do them from spares?

I forst thought I'd be doing them from spares, but I may not be able to. Good thing Roundels are fairly easy to mask.

Jessie, nice choice. I too want to build a Bf-109 in captured colors here soon. Now, as long as there are no photos of guys in spandex or speedos in this thread I'll  follow along...otherwise, I'll hit the red button that says eject, eject, eject...
