LSP_Mike
Another one goes west.... The WNW Roland DVIa is sold out. So, if you want one, start looking, as there may now be some in the various pipelines. mpk, Fred Jack, Rick Griewski and 1 other
Bill Cross
Wow, I actually bought their Camel in case it does sell out and increases in value. Not sure I'm up to the task of rigging her. CANicoll and mpk
Guest The Southern Bandit
Ouch, what is the status of the WnW Harry Tate RE.8? still out of production or likely to be produced again? mpk
LSP_Mike
The Re8 is, I think a very much coveted WNW kit. As to production status, it is sold out, and there are no indicators it will be back in another iteration. Of course, WNW released TWO Felixstowe flying boats with not even a blip on the radar, and brought the W. 29 back into production at the same time. Anyones guess at this point. If you want a DVII, get it now, and go to WNW home page to get the specific factory sprue to do a particular version, then you have it. If you want a Roland, start searching the web stores to find one in stock. mpk
OldTroll
Strangely enough I just ordered a Roland D.VIa from WETA today after it appeared as "sold out" on the WNW website. Odder still was the fact that it will be shipped from NZ instead of Seattle. mpk and Bill_S
phasephantomphixer
Phew, glad that was the one I did get before. 7 years on the shelf. Need to order the D VIb now though. mpk
kalashnikov-47
Oh, well. That's one that I want. There's two auctions running on ebay, and I expect the sellers will now get more than they expected. mpk
kalashnikov-47
If you want a Roland, start searching the web stores to find one in stock. I've tried all the usual (American) suspects but it's sold out everywhere I looked. mpk
Bill_S
I got the D.VIb - I liked the schemes better. That's good enough for me. mpk
LSP_K2
That's 15 sold out kits so far, by my count. mpk
ssculptor
Well, I got mine. I got into the habit of buying each as they were issued. Some I skipped as I had the Rodin or other manufacturer's version. I skipped most of the Fokker D-7's. I got one and that was good enough. I will skip the Camel as I have a half dozen of the other manufacturer's versions. Obviously I do not worship details. mpk and Alburymodeler
Tony T
Oh dear, that's me out again, as that was my second favourite after the Albatros and on sober reflection I don't wish to buy rereleases in triple boxings, assuming it reemerges in that fashion. But I'll enjoy seeing them built by others Tony mpk
TimW
Glad I grabbed the Roland when I did! Should have bought about 3 RE-8s, though. Still fuming about that! mpk
DeanKB
This is an aspect of the hobby that cheeses me off. You find yourself buying Wingnut Wings kits because they may disappear in the future, which - given time - turns into a self-fulfilling prophesy. I've fallen for it, massively, and find myself with 58 Wingnut Wings kits. Fifty bloody eight! Takes me 3-6 months to build one, so that's somewhere between approximately 15-29 years worth. And that's including 3 Felixstowe's and a couple of Gotha's, which will undoubtedly take far longer. Not to mention the other 154 kits. Plus associated after-market, and I buy any and all after-market available. I like Silver Wings kits. Superb little resin kits, very little clean-up required, great fit, great subjects. I've ended up with 14 of them. I've got a dozen 109's. And I don't even like 109's.
Guest Peterpools
Glad I have one as I normally tend to be a day late and a dollar short Peter
