Ah ok thanks. Are there big differences between this and the A/B/C models?

Yes, the A/B/C models had smaller less powerful engines, which made the rear fuselage and intake different. To get an idea of the changes involved, here is a link to the Belcher Bits conversion for the Hasegawa F-5E.

I just ordered the Kittyhawk 1/32 F-5E brand new kit from China here :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kitty-Hawk-1-32-32018-F-5E-Tiger-II/173234505817?hash=item285594c859:g:MgAAAOSwYJNatmp0

The price is quite interesting : 36,80 Sterling Pound / 41,97 Euros / 51,64 US $ plus shipping & handling.

Now let's wait and see for the general quality and the potential missing parts enabling to cover all export versions, that will certainly

be covered by resin & photoetch manufacturers.

Will the kit include optional parts like :

- Sharknose radome  ?

- Leading Edge Root Extensions (LERX) ?

- In Flight Refueling probe ?

- Fin Fillet Extension (for many export customers) ?

- Optional ejection seats (for many export customers) ?

- Various antennaes options ?

Anyway, If the kit is generally ''ok'' it will certainly be a big part of my 2018 modeller budget with the adding for the future of the

1/32 Kittyhawk F-5F TwinTiger. To many Air Arms and Color Scheme to cover.

It could also be interesting to create now an international F-5E Tiger II /RF-5E TigerEye /F-5F TwinTiger SIG ! (Special Interest Group).

Yes, I posted the link to dawngrocerystore yesterday...

Wondering the same things but, frankly, after years of the Hasegawa kit permanently 'modernised' by the shark nose and LERX it's gratifying to have a 1970s vintage pointy nose F-5E back in the game. The other stuff can come in a second boxing. However, it is curious there have been no sprue shots etc released - maybe they're sick of all the nitpicking ?¿

Was not meaning to hijack your thread so carry on.

You are absolutely right Tony.

Vintage F-5E of the first operational years are a welcome venue.

By the way the title of my thread page will eventually change in a few weeks for :

'' Kitty Hawk 1/32 F-5E/F Tiger II / Special Interest Group / SIG ''

To discuss and share info about the kit but also all aftermarket products that will be produced in the future

to complement this brand new Kitty Hawk 1/32 F-5E Tiger II kit like :

Decals, resin parts, photoetch parts, masking parts, metal landing gears, intake covers, etc...

Best regards
