mz826
I finished painting this today and thought I would put a picture up of what I had so far. I still have to to the wash/weathering but aside from that it is finished. I am hoping the panel lines will show up more following the wash as I can see them but they do not show up in the pictures. I am still pretty new to this so go gentle but I would love to hear suggestions on how I can improve what I have here. The photo's do not really do me any favors either so I guess those skills need help too! This Oscar is finished as the 77th Fighter Sentai Leader's aircraft New Guinea 1944 Thanks for looking,
TimW
Nice job! I love Pacific War subjects. I have one of these done up in markings for a Sentai in Burma. Still have a bunch of un-built JAAF and IJN aircraft...one of these days! Tim W.
LSP_Kevin
It looks great mate! Interesting scheme too - I've not seen that one before. I'm assuming this is the Hasegawa kit? Kev

LSP_Mike
MZ, not bad looking at all. If I may... with many silver paints, you can achieve differing tonal effects by careful masking on panel lines, and then spraying in different directions, allowing the paint to lay out with differing reflections. You might paint your control surfaces with a slightly different mix, as those would be fabric covered in dope, which would take the color differently. If you use pastels try rubbing some on the upper Hino's to turn the bright red a little more rust colored. I hope this helps, and does not sound too critical. A couple of us here have done these birds, and yours is a welcome addition; there are always allied birds nipping away. (no pun intended)
