Great start! For some of those details a wash will help bring them out and even out some of the color boundaries.

Can you point me to somewhere where I can see how to properly do that without oil-based washes? I have a Badger 150 anthem.

Rattler, washes will just even stuff out and tend to blend any harsh color demarcations, making it all appear real natural.  You'll be seriously surprised the difference it makes.

 

I use Vallejo washes myself, and I've also started mixing my own as well using distilled water, water based paint, and dish soap.

 

Whichever wash you use, apply over a gloss surface and it'll collect in natural low spots and seams....
