Denie
This is a 1/8 scale model of the Fokker Triplane the one the Red Baron had. I get a little bit every week or so that I buy drom the book store with my money. I have a paper run in the morning. The book store says the magazine is 100 issues over a year or so. I am doing this on my own and my Dad will help with stuff I don't know. This is what it looks like Here are photos Daniel
AngoMango
Wow Dan, that's going to be one solid project! Looks like it will pretty bloody good fun too. There's a few balsa and brass scratchbuilding WW1 wizards around on LSP, so just ask specific questions as you go along, and I'm sure help will be close at hand (I'm picturing myself running to get help ) Congrats on having the vision to embark on such a project, more than I can say for myself! Cheers mate. Ango.

Erwin
Hi Dan, Great work you are doing And what a kit for a 13 year old. You make me jealous . THAT is THE Fokker kit to have !! Is that the Tamiya kit ? I've seen that model build at the Belgian convention this year. I posted some pic in 'of topic' ,but the page is gone. The guy only finished the fuselage after 1 years work. So I guess you will be 15 when yours is done I'm one of the balsa nuts on this site ,as mentioned above. But that kit is a lot more detailed than the Guillows I do. Keep us posted. LSP_Mike
Very nice work Dan! are you going to cover some of it for paint or leave it open as a skeleton?
Guest LSP_Jay L
Hi Dan; I'm a bit late to the party on this one, but welcome to LSP and I will look forward to this build, as it will be a very impressive model when done. Keep up the good work. Cheers mate, Jay
P-40
You say you are buying this in segments from the bookstore and that you just received issue three, who makes this and how does it work that you buy it in different issues? That sounds really interesting.
Erwin
Very nice work Dan! are you going to cover some of it for paint or leave it open as a skeleton? That's an intersting remark. I've seen this model build at a convention in Belgium (if it is the Tamiya kit ?) There is so much lovely detail that it's a shame to hide it later by covering it. On the other hand you might do a half open/half covered model. It would look very good if you could show it painted and with markings on one side, and then the other side with all the inner detail. Looking forward how this turns out.
