I too play with the flying variety of model airplanes (from peanut scale FF to 1/4 scale R/C). B)

For stick & tissue models, Dumas makes some really nice stuff. All laser cut, high grade balsa with nice vacuformed parts (not up to Hasegawa standards, but WAY better than Guillows' plastic parts).

And one for Coolie: :)

Brad,

Here's one you might like: a 12" span R/C Pitts:

The laser-cut kit is only $24.00, but buying the gear would sap my modeling budget for the rest of the year! :o

I have read that some of them are laser cut instead of die cut now which might make parts easier to come out?

This is only the case in the WW-1 series 200.

But you got to have the new releases with the logo 'lasercut' on the box.

The older boxes are die cut.

Those parts simply fall out the balsasheets.Shake the box and all is ready :o

Thanks for the links, I had forgotten all about Tower Hobbies, back in my radio control days I did most of my ordering from them and SIG. I haven’t ordered from SIG since Hazel retired and sold it but I found them to have some of the best wood at the most reasonable prices and their shipping costs were virtually nothing compared to all the others. I’m putting together in order for them for some wood, silk span, and dope.

Thanks for the information on the Dumas airplanes, I had forgotten all about them. I picked up the Gee Bee E with a 30in. wingspan off of ebay yesterday, one of my favorite airplanes. I will do that one in the green/yellow colors of one that flew in Minnesota.
