Konsti_87
Hello together, does anyone have information which colours were used on the J2M Raidens which were bulit by the Koza naval air arsenal? Did they use all the same colours as Mitsubishi for interior and exterior or were there differences? Unfortunately I could not find any information in the internet and my books. Thank you in advance. Best regards Konsti

MikeMaben
Hi Konsti They were the J2M5 model 33s. While they were built at that specific facility, I would think it safe to assume they were painted the same as the rest. It is however an assumtion. hth LSP_K2
dennismcc
You could try the J Aircraft site http://www.j-aircraft.org/smf/index.php Or there is a specific downloadable PDF on the Raiden colours at Nick Millman's Aviation of Japan site, though you have to apply for access to this site. http://www.aviationofjapan.com/ Cheers Dennis
Fred Jack
Based on the fact that both the Mitsubishi and Nakagima Zeros were different colours, I would guess to say this was true of all manufacturers, but if you painted your Raiden any colour green, who'd be able to tell the difference. I had a book on Japanese marking made in Japan, but it looked like it was made out of crayons.
