Gazzas
HI everyone, After quite a few struggles and quite a few lessons, I'm glad to say I've completed this one. I'd like to build another so I can do it right! Here are the photos: Thanks for Looking! RLWP
Aye, that'll do! Your bracing wires are particularly good, there's a lot of really nice work in that aeroplane Gaz What's next? Richard Gazzas
Gazzas
Richard, Thank you! Seems I'm bitten by the Great War bug. I'll be jumping into an Albatros D.Va from WNW. But... my darling wife just gave me a gift card from my LHS... And last time I was there, they had a Roden Albatros D.I and a Roden Albatros D.II. So I'll be keeping a WWI build in parallel with all of my other WWII aircraft and armor builds. When I was in my 20's I dreamed of building models of Albatros fighters as I love their sleek yet old-fashioned shapes. But without the internet, I never even knew if any existed back in the 1980's. Now I can make up for lost time. Gaz

1to1scale
Look spectacular! I have to add, knowing what you get in a Roden kit, you did a lot of extra to make is that nice. You wood graining is especially spot-on! Edited March 23, 2018 by 1to1scale Gazzas

karimb
Gaz, she turned out to be a stunner! Your efforts and dedication really paid off although i take it you feel not completely satisfied. This is a challenging kit and you did a swell of a job with it. You'll see how the wnw dva will be a walk in the park for you! Thanks for the enjoyable and informative work in progress buddy! Gazzas
Guys, Thank you for your kindnesses. They are definitely very motivating! Karim, Your amazing builds and shared techniques are quite responsible for getting me to plunge back into biplanes. My first biplane, two years ago, turned out pretty badly but I keep it around as a reminder. I'm sure I'm not the only person you've inspired.
