arf, there's a lot of work on that kit! i'll have an eye on this one, erwin!

another question, erwin: there are two parts in the kit (which are not used for the belgian version), representing ECM fairings on the intake, which could help me a lot on my F-16N. they are shown on the photo below... would it eventually be possible for you to send me them if you don't need them? would be great...:) (i'll pay for that, of course! ;))

Erwin

To be honest I don't think they even loaded this one up with anything but an centerline tank and some

smokewinders

But as you can see in all the pictures on the net they didn't have anything at all on her so the best thing is to leave all off <_< .

Just keep the centerline pylon on its on top of the parts 61 - 62.

Erwin,

i agree with Frederick. But my one will get some external fuel tanks, just to keep the bird not that empty under the wings or belly...

Just my two cents,

Chris

wich one are you going to make? <_< A belgian or another.

welll to be honest this tiger scheme only lasted for about a week since the paint was'nt designed for the high G turns this bird was making during the show. They used regular latex paint for this scheme it was alos not allowed by the brass that they would do a full tiger camo because they considered the paint a risk in case itr would be ingested by the intake. That's why the scheme is behind the intake. The brass was right....

It pealed off rather quickly and after one flight it went from this

to this

there as you can see this bird was devoted from pylons and ordnance

So they even removed the mountings for the bombs and stuff. That leaves me with very little building to do.Just the main airframe.

yes but to be honest to remove the pylons is a quite simple job and they do it all the time, no need to carry stuf that you aren't using on the mission :) B)

Hey ! I just had an idea. What if I were to paint my Tigermeet F-16 WITHOUT stripes. Being Belgian Tigermeet F-16: "The day after" :)

ok let me know I have the stencils for that if you like  :)

Fred,

I guess it's to late now.I've already gluded the intake. Is there an aftermarketset that fits even after glueing?

Some more Q's:

Did Belgian F-16's still have the hook ?

In the pic you see 2 small pins on the underside. But I don't see them on the Tigermeet F-16. I removed them from my model. Was I correct to do so ?

No worries mate use a FOD guard to mask the intake so that you can't see inside of it and color it red this will also add a extra splash of color to the model.

yes they kept it all f-16 did, most jest have hooks they se those in case of a brake failure or something so that they make an arrested landing.

Well I guess you missed those because they were there. So you need to make those again. Also there's an antenna on the bottom side between the two belly fins you need to install that there. Revell IICRC tells you to place it right under the intake but they moved that antenna when they changed from block 10 to -15.

Would I better off with a Hasegawa or Academy kit to do this Tigermeet F-16 ?

Does Hasegawa have the F-16 A with correct airintake and tailfin ?

Well that all depends on how far you wanna go with this model Erwin.

Pm will be send later this evening mate

This is all the progress for now untill I get the correct tailfin and cover at the convention.

Q : since all the pilons for the bombs were removed, should I fill all the holes in the wingundersides ?

Is there an aftermarket cover ?

f-16-4.jpg

No not nescesary since they are there on the real thing too

as for the cover no need for aftermarket, there is none anyway, this would be easy to do with some kitchen lead foil or like this sorry shamelees plug here

my first how to
